Cervantes Refuge (Alcoy)

The Cervantes Refuge is one of more than 25 shelters that the people of Alcoy used to protect themselves from air raids during the Spanish Civil War and the only one that can be visited today.

It is an underground shelter more than 100 meters long in which data and aerial photographs of the attacks by the Italian bombers Savoia 79, which acted on Alcoy, have been recreated.

The exhibition is completed with an interactive screen with the military objects and a video with testimonies of people who lived the incursions in the city and their consequences.
