The Avenida Theatre, located in Diputat Castelló street n. 26, is the cultural space with the largest capacity in Bocairent, as it has a 106 m² stage and nearly 400 seats for the public, distributed between the stalls and the amphitheatre. This volume, together with the technical equipment of the facilities, means that the theatre is used for large-format local activities, such as concerts, theatre performances, film screenings, etc.
In addition, the Avenida hosts some of the most relevant festive, civic and institutional events for the municipality. This is the case, for example, with the events that precede the Moors and Christians; the Sports Festival, which recognises the merits of local sportsmen and women and the work of the different clubs, or the 9 d’Octubre awards gala, which pays tribute to the career of a person and a group from Bocairent.
