In 1923, following a request for a theatre to be built on the site of the old church, the mayor, Ramon Berenguer Navarro, considered that it was extremely important to build a theatre on the site. After several owners, it will become the property of the City Council in 1996. In the year 2000 he will have a complete rehabilitation of the building that he will turn into the current one.
This theatre has played and still plays a fundamental role in the cultural life of the town. It is used for theatrical performances, concerts, festivals, tributes, and any act that requires its use.
