María Magdalena is, together with Sant Jordi, the patron saint of Banyeres de Mariola and has her place of worship in an old Gothic-style chapel located at the top of the municipality. In her honour, the residents of this town hold numerous processions throughout the month of July. There is a wide range of activities in which you can find everything from bobbin lace meetings, to supertrack, the Santa María Magdalena band festival, open-air cinema, bicycle circuits…
You can’t miss its medieval fair and market. A floral offering and the procession of the patron saint to her hermitage close the celebrations at the end of July. And to top it all off, the popular correfoc fills the streets of Banyeres with festivity and light.
