In 2005, in the month of October, the First Gastronomical Fair of Typical and Handcrafted Products was held in Muro and, as its name indicates, home-made products were made known. This fair was created with the aim of promoting craftsmen and companies in the gastronomy and food industry located in the Valencian Community.
Since then, this fair has been held on the weekend of the first Sunday in October. It is a tourist event that is organized by the City Council of Muro that takes place in Matzem Square, the heart of the municipality. Throughout the weekend you can enjoy a wide range of auxiliary activities such as tastings, demonstrations, talks and conferences with the aim of promoting and disseminating the quality and artisan products of the VC. In addition, the whole square is filled with stands with direct sale of food products and all this with the animation of local groups.
