We will start the tour at Molí l’Ombria 1. (685m above sea level) about 500 metres from the town of Banyeres de Mariola.

From the Molí l’Ombria we will go up the river by its right bank (E), soon we will arrive at the river bed that we will cross under El Partidor, all linking in this point with the PRV-35: “Banyeres de Mariola – Biar – Elda” 2. (700m) (0,93km) (15′)

On the opposite side we can see the El Partidor building.

After a short but steep climb (S) we will come to a crossroads, which coincides with the PRV-4: “Banyeres de Mariola” which, coming from the source of the river Vinalopó, goes to the right to the Molí l’Ombria 3. (755m) (1.5km) (30′).

We will follow the new path on the left (S) and walk through a dense pine forest, then colliding with the Camí dels Valencians (Camí de Benasaiz or Barranquet dels Pinarets) 4. (755m) (1.97km) (40′).

From this point, we see a wide valley that is configured and magnificently framed between the Sierra de Onil. We will continue by the wide and comfortable way that we will find the right (S), the (PRV-4 goes in opposite sense towards the Font de la Coveta, in the birth of the river Vinalopó).

Shortly after passing a hundred-year-old oak tree, and in front of a fork in the road, we will leave the main path (along which the PRV-35 continues towards Biar and Elda) and follow the branch on the right towards the NW.

Along the new path we will gradually ascend between an abundant pine grove and some terraces of olive and almond trees, and we will enter the Fontanella mountain range. We will reach the Mas de la Foia Rodona and the ruins of another farmhouse, with views of the top of the La Blasca mountain range and the well-defined neck located to the east of the steep limestone walls of the summit. Shortly afterwards we will pass by an abandoned lime kiln 5. (940m) (5.74km) (1h40′).

Once past the kiln for about 50 metres, we must be careful, because we will leave the path by turning right (NO) along a wide, stony path that, with a hard climb, will lead us to the neck located to the east of the Blasca 6. (1.058m) (6,67km) (2h00′).

From the pass and making a small effort, it is worthwhile climbing up a path, in about 10 minutes, to the maximum height of the entire Fontanella mountain range; La Blasca and enjoy along with its geodesic vertex a magnificent and surprising panorama in all directions 7. (1.120m) (7,07km) (2h10′).

Back to the neck we will have to continue our journey and go down the north side of the sierra. In this way, and always in continuous descent, we will arrive at Mas de Perolit 8. (775m) (9.61km) (2h55′).

From the Mas de Perolit we will continue towards the NE along a wide path and will have views of the town of Banyeres de Mariola, crowned by its lofty castle and the Ermita del Santo Cristo.

Shortly before joining the Biar road, turn right (E) along a secondary path that runs parallel to the river on its left bank and you will see the remains of the important factories that were the Molí Pont and the Molí Sol on the opposite side, with the singular constructions of the chimneys standing out.

After crossing the river by a rustic bridge we will arrive at our starting point, and we will finish this interesting and varied route in the Molí l’Ombria 1. (685m) (12.40km) (3h40′).
