We will start the route from the Town Hall Square and continue along Mossén Hilari Street, passing the Darrere la Vila Bridge and the En Ferrís fountain and washing place. When we reach the boundary cross we will go up the path on the left that will lead us to a small staircase carved into the rock. Going down we enter “la tanca del bou”, which ends shortly after in the Fos ravine. The route continues along the course of the River Clariano.

This path was the old communication route between Bocairent and Ontinyent. Along the ravine we will find mills and fulling mills such as Eduardo Juan’s, one of the best known for its spectacular vertical wheel of about 6.5 m. in diameter; the Casa dels Julians – where we connect with the Tarongers ravine -, the Lluna mill and the Patirás mill. The route continues along the Tarongers spring; a few metres later, you will come to a bend in the CV-81 road between Bocairent and Ontinyent. Opposite, you will see the rock formation known as the “Cagalló del Gegant”.

At this point you will look for a very steep staircase on your right where the path begins that will take you to the Alto del Castellar, from where you can see the winding route of the road through the Bocairent ravine and the Xàtiva-Alcoi train track, which goes away through different tunnels in the Pantanet ravine.

We will now return in the direction of Bocairent, leaving the Masarra estate on the left, until we reach the chapel of Sant Antoni Abad, (16th century) and, later, Bocairent.
