Banyeres Castle
Banyeres castle is located at 830 meters above the sea level, dating back to the 12th – 13th centuries. It consists of an Almohad constructive model of polygonal floor and topped by a large tower. The first news of the castle is from October 13, 1249, when King Jaime I granted the castle and the town of Banyeres to Jaufrido de Loaysa and his wife Jacometa. Currently, the state of the castle is the result of a restoration carried out in the 1970s and 1980s.
