It is located at the foot of the Castle and was built to commemorate the place where the ancient hermitage of the Conjurer was located. This chapel, which is no longer there, was intended for St. George. It was the oldest hermitage in Banyeres, as can be deduced from its location, so its construction can be referred to very well between the 13th and 15th centuries. There are only a few remains, one of the corners. According to photographic testimony, it can be assured that at the end of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century it was still standing.

This chapel was also known as “El Conjurador” (The Conspirator) because of the Saint’s ability to conjure up storms and evil in the face of the prayers of the people gathered around his image.

The current monument is located in a viewpoint overlooking the mountains, allowing the visitor to admire the natural environment that surrounds the municipality.
