The town of Agres was an old Muslim farmhouse, and the Islamic fortress was built nearby at the end of the 12th century. In the western part of the town, the fortified watchtower was built. Declared BIC for additional disposition according to the Law 16/1985. An old wall tower which, due to its location on a slope, offers fantastic views of the whole valley of Agres. It was part of the defensive infrastructures of the Muslim period.
