Start from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, and follow the signs to the Santo Cristo hermitage, until you reach the bridge, where you turn off onto a small path before crossing it on the left. We will enter the Infern ravine and a few metres further on we will see the first of four quarries; two of them at river level and the other two at higher level. All around we will find abandoned ashlars, with curious quarry marks, and covarxos, cavities where they used to shelter.

We will pass behind the farmhouse of La Derrota, easy to identify by the two towers that crown it. After 3 km we reach a path, which we will follow by turning right in a northern direction and walking 2 km more to the Pla de Llobregat and the hut of the same name. Follow the path on the right where you will see the ascent to the chapel.

At this junction we will find the PR V-306 or “Ruta del cinquentenari”, which starts at the Aielo road in Moixent and ends at the Santo Cristo hermitage in Bocairent. The chapel was built in the 16th century and consists of three buildings: the hostel that was once an inn, the chaplain’s house and the Gothic church, with the bell tower attached.

From this point we will start our return along the Way of the Cross, which goes down in a zigzag. Once down, before the bridge, we will pass by the Esgoladora, a smooth and shiny stone, which serves as a diversion for the little ones. We will cross the bridge until we reach the starting point.
