The route starts from the Bocairent’s football field. We will follow the path that passes by the farmhouse of the Terrers and that leads us up to the port. Following the indications of the GR-7, we will arrive at the hermitage of Santa Bárbara, where we will also find the fountain of El Plà and a centenary poplar.

Follow the path passing by the Mingol and Bassa Roja farmhouses until you reach the campsite. A little further on we will reach the recreational area of the Font de Mariola, leaving the Alto and the castle of Mariola on the right and following the path to the Font del Mas dels Arbres. After about 200m, on the left, we can turn off and take the path that leads to the Don Miguel wine cellar with some impressive buttresses. Returning to the main track, we climb up until we find the Cava del Buitre.

Further on, we will reach the Cava Gran or Cava Arqueada and a few metres later we will see the C.E. de Alcoi refuge, the Cava de la Habitación and the Teix summit. To go directly to the summit of Montcabrer (1390 m) we will take the PR-CV 27 that, during some meters, coincides again with the GR-7. To return, we will follow the PR-CV-57 towards the East, passing by the Mas de la Foia Ampla, until the Font de Mariola.
